Big welcome to our new Digital Health partner, STZ

We’re pleased to announce the addition of our new Digital Health accelerator partner, STZ! The association of 26 top-level teaching hospitals is committing to collaborate with us to improve patient care.

Through this unique collaboration, the startups in our program will gain direct access to some 32,000 medical experts in STZ hospitals and have the opportunity to test their concepts in the workplace. This access will immensely accelerate the scaling-up process of good digital health startups.

In return, the 26 STZ hospitals will learn from Rockstart and our Digital Health startups how to implement and accelerate innovations within the organization. The idea is to link entrepreneurs to innovative medical specialists and to guide that process and partnership.

“This collaboration is unique in that most accelerator programs don’t offer this two-way traffic between startups and medical facilities,” said Casper Smeets, Program Director Digital Health Rockstart. “We’re providing both the entrepreneurs and the medical professionals an opportunity to interact and gain insight, which could benefit them greatly in their own avenues.”

During the annual theme day of STZ, the partnership was ratified by Rockstart founder Oscar Kneppers, and director of STZ, Fenna Heyning.

Oscar, who was also a keynote speaker that afternoon, emphasized the power in the cooperation of both Rockstart and STZ, and was eager to see what the future would bring through this collaboration.

For STZ hospitals, this is a great opportunity to collaborate together with the best Digital Health startups and to develop innovations within their workplace. For our startups, this means immediate access to their target market and firsthand insight into the very field they aim to disrupt.

With all that said, we’d like to offer a huge Rockstart welcome to all the STZ hospitals, and we are very much looking forward to collaborating with you! Let’s rock the health world together.
