Visma acquires Rockstart portfolio company Brincr
This week is full of great news here at Rockstart. Today we are pleased to announce the acquisition of one of our portfolio companies, Brincr, from our 2018 cohort to Visma. Visma is a leading European supplier of business-critical software to companies of all sizes, organisations and the public sector, with annual revenues of Eur1.7bn.
Dave Wiegerink, Director of Brincr: “We are happy to be part of the Visma family now. This connection allows Brincr to grow faster in both the number of licenses and functionality. The brand awareness, network, and experience of Visma offer many opportunities to realise our ambitions. The acquisition underlines our strong proposition in the field of online wholesale software and the opportunities that the market for online software offers in this segment.”
Richard Scheper, Managing Director of Visma Software BV: “A complete cloud solution for wholesalers with up to 10 employees is a great addition to our offering for SMEs. Thanks to various modules and many options in terms of design, Brincr can be used in (almost) every wholesale sector, from fresh food to clothing wholesalers. And with the integrated B2B webshop, we can offer wholesalers a nice total solution in the cloud. We are also in line with Brincr in terms of culture, so I look forward to the intensive collaboration.”
John Reynders, Area Director, Visma Benelux: “Visma has been a specialist in software for SMEs for many years, with an emphasis on the financial and HR component. In addition to specific solutions for accountancy and project-driven organisations, Visma also has a diverse range for wholesalers. With the addition of Brincr to the portfolio of Visma Software BV, this range is further expanded and Visma Software can offer wholesalers of all sizes in every sector a suitable solution. For example, we have taken the next step in offering an extensive cloud ecosystem in the Benelux.”
We were excited to have Brincr as part of our 2018 program, as they are an experienced team of entrepreneurs with a clear vision and a great product: software for warehousing and distribution businesses.
The founding team is taking the opportunity to join forces with Visma at an early stage to accelerate its scale-up, generating huge synergies across Visma’s existing customer base, and leveraging its experience in building and selling best-in-class business software across Europe.
