Akshat Kshetrapal

Akshat started his career as an entrepreneur building one of India’s first carbon emission finance companies. Over the last 8 years, he has made seed, venture, growth-stage and late-stage investments in Asia, Europe, and North America.

Before joining Rockstart, Akshat was an associate at PGGM Private Equity where he invested c. 350 million euros across sectors in North America and Europe, with a focus on healthcare. Prior to PGGM, he worked at Max India, Gray Ghost Ventures and Sequoia Capital with a focus on healthcare and med-tech investments. Akshat holds an MBA from the Indian School of Business and Master’s degrees from University of Amsterdam and the Delhi School of Economics.

When not in the office, Akshat enjoys improving his almost-perfect-but-not-quite-there-yet butter chicken recipe or playing poker; he doesn’t quite enjoy trimming his garden but has to anyway. On the four days a year when it is sunny in Utrecht, he is found supine, reading EE Cummings or David Wallace in Wilhelmina park.
